Mitch Ohlbaum is the Founder and Partner of Macoy Capital. With a career in real estate spanning 30 years, Mitch brings immeasurable experience and a proven track record of industry success. He started his career as a loan officer and real estate broker, launching his first company, Legend Mortgage Corporation, in Los Angeles in 1993. He grew Legend Mortgage from a sole proprietorship to having more than 25 loan agents and operating in 3 locations. Loan volume at Legend Mortgage increased year over year to surpass $500 million annually, and the company was named as a preferred lender with several national banks including Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Washington Mutual, and Countrywide.

 

Macoy Capital was founded in 2015, where he focused on business development, capital investment, and finance lending for privately funded residential and commercial loans. He has an extensive referral network and well-established relationships with institutional investors and borrowers throughout the United States. Macoy Capital has an outstanding reputation in the market as a direct result of their commitment to high level performance and long-standing history of delivering on-time results. Mitch is a consummate professional, and his enthusiasm and dedication to the industry make him an invaluable asset and leader of Macoy Capital.

Chris Rahn is the Vice-President and Partner of Macoy Capital and is a proven leader in facilitating growth and development  for borrowers and investors.

He utilizes sound business strategy, conducts high level analysis, pays attention to detail and focuses on borrower and referral partner experience to expand the reach of Macoy Capital into existing and new markets.

Since joining the team in 2015, Chris has developed strong relationships with borrowers and brokers across the country.

His efforts have resulted in hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions across residential/multi-family bridge, fix and flip, horizontal development, and ground-up construction loans. Chris’ persistence, professionalism, and commitment to helping each borrower/broker on any given transaction are just a few of the characteristics that have helped him to excel in the industry and make him an indispensable part of Macoy Capital.

Angel is a Los Angeles Native where he attended Bell High School and Pasadena City College. Angel came to Macoy Capital from Carlyle Capital in May 2022. While he was a top producer before, Angel’s production and success has exploded since joining Macoy Capital. He is currently leading our New Development Division and bringing in projects nationwide. Angel is a family man and when he is not working hard for his clients, you will find him spending time with his big family.
